Maybe it's a sort of midlife crisis of mine, but I just find myself loving this video so much. It's just two guys reminiscing about the days they used to work at Sierra, but somehow, it takes me back as well. I never worked at Sierra, I never had Jesus-hair, but man... I identify so much with their nostalgia. Just felt like sharing. It's long, but I could listen to this sort of thing forever. Ah, to be young again.

Catman owns the Roberta Williams King's Quest collection. Me too. And the Space Quest collection. And the Police Quest collection. And the Leisure Suit Larry Collection. For some reason I couldn't really get into the Hero's Quest games. Maybe because I first got a chance to play them as an adult, and turned off by text parsers. Although I did enjoy Conquest of Camelot a lot. The main reason I don't like text parsers, by the way, is because I want all the information the game has to give me, so I end up looking at everything. In a point'n'click, this is easy enough - you just mouse over the things that are lookable. But in a text parser, you don't know until you've tried looking at them. look look room look window look out of window look door look chandelier look painting look desk look drawer open drawer look drawer look IN drawer dammit And in the early Sierra games, the game didn't even pause when you began to type. show morror "what's a morror" show midroot "what's a midroot" show mirros "what's a mirros" show mirror "Who do you want to show the mirror to?" THE MEDUSA! THE GODDAMN MED.. aww, crap.
