Back in the days before BvS was released, there were a lot of things to talk about when it came to DC films. There was all kinds of speculation about where the story of the “DCEU” was heading, if BvS would address the criticisms of MoS, how individual movies like SS and WW would turn out, and whether or not WB/DC would be able to compete with the MCU. It was a really lively time to be a fan on the Internet.
Now? There’s hardly anything to talk about. It’s such a boring time to be a fan on the Internet now, especially when we don’t even know how this stupid pandemic will affect upcoming films. It’s all making me nostalgic for 2014.

If the Avengers can make over a billion $$$, imagine how much Batman and Superman will make.

I remember following basically every piece of news about BvS from before it was released. I remember being annoyed when I first heard it was getting pushed back to 2016, curious about Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and intrigued when I learned that the guy who wrote Argo was working on the script. I was both excited for the day I would finally get to see the movie, and cautiously optimistic that it would be seen as an improvement over MoS. My hope was that having an Oscar winning screenwriter on board would’ve made a difference. Oh well...

If anything there's been to talk about for DC than Marvel. DC had a recent hit with Joker and just recently Birds of Prey.
With Marvel though it'd have been a dry spell anyway but it's made even worse because there was no November release for the first time in a few years and the Netflix shows have gone.

In Marvel’s case, there’s plenty of talk to be had regarding what direction Phase 4 is going to go in, particularly with the Disney+ shows. Also, there’s been plenty of speculation regarding how they’ll bring the X-Men and the Fantastic Four into the MCU.
