10 best threads in this board's short history 1. Do Sports Make You Cry? - who could forget the exploits of Tum Tum? 2. You're the COVID Replacement! - nothing to do with the fact that I created it, but frogs' insistence that he could be a "pretty damn good" NFL QB was one of his finest bits. 3. Horror Draft by Rey Kahuka - I had a blast with this one. Horror was a passion of mine was I was younger so digging up that old knowledge (knew it would come in handy one day!) and reading even more from the regulars was a lot of fun. Petulantly, I'm leaving off the Action Hero draft because I wasn't allowed to pick Ripley or the Terminator. 4. The Coronavirus. Has it reached you yet? How are you? - it was hard to avoid a little nuttiness, but overall this thread provided solace as our community (mostly) banded together through dark times. We all lost interest in COVID by the end, of course. 5. Aaron Rodgers has COVID - following the insane developments as they unfolded, including Rodgers' infamous interview with Pat McAfee, was a trip worthy of the GB QB's best hallucinogenic recommendations. 6. The ongoing What Are You Watching? thread - our own little ode to the subject which originally brought us all together all those years ago: movies. 7. Xeliou's Super Bowl 53 Play by Play thread - one of the worst Super Bowls gave us one of the best Super Bowl threads. You might say anthonyrocks was a little wired throughout. "COIN TOSS! Rams Lose! It's over! BENCH Jared Goff! Bring in Sean Mannion!" 8. These NBA Awards Suck - a personal favorite of mine. I'll never forget: "I know more about the NBA than any other poster here. I live and breath the NBA. I still listen to NBA radio all day." 9. Can someone explain Billie Eilish to me? - we miss you, FrankSobotka1514 ! 10. Haters Gone Wild! 2020 - following this one as it developed, culminating in the Sixers' epic loss to the Hawks, was epic drama and theater. Meltdown at the end soured it, unfortunately. HM: Stupid Commercials - great content; wish it kept going long-term. These are the first ones that came to mind; I'm open to suggestions for alternative choices, of course. If I had to think of the worst threads, I'd name any of the ones focusing on the election, Capitol Riots, BLM, police brutality cases, you name it. All devolved into sheer chaos and brought out the crazy that's normally hidden by innocent sports discussions.

Top 10 European cities i have been to. 1. Florence 2. Seville 3. Barcelona 4. Verona 5. Amalfi 6. Bruges 7. Prague 8. Freiburg 9. Oslo 10.Strasbourg Yeah, Florence is awesome, isn't it? I stayed in Republic square and all the magnificent public works of art around it. Went into a "standing bar" there and they told me that their place had been there for 600 years. Blows your mind.

Oslo 10.Strasbourg I just got back on Saturday from a sweet trip through Spain that included stops in Barcelona (my 3rd time here) and Sevilla (my maiden voyage). Great call on those cities. Barcelona is one of my favorites in the world as it's the perfect mix of everything - cosmopolitan, great touristy stuff, the old quarter, tremendous food and cocktail bar scene, wonderful people, lovely beaches, super easy to use transportation system, just the ideal city for travelers. Sevilla, holy shit. Among the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

Our Sevilla hotel in particular was incredible and didn't break the bank, and I'm always good for food and cocktail bar spots Next up for us is either Switzerland or Japan. Japan is currently #1 on my list but the Mrs. isn't terribly fond of flights. Flying to Europe is about her max, although she does desperately want to visit Japan. We'll see. Ever been?

Yeah Spain is wonderful overall but those 2 cities specially Seville is fantastic, the architecture along makes it worth and when you at the wonderful people it reaches another level.

Thanks, I'll let you know. Nah, never been to Japan. If the wife doesn't like long flights, that's a tough one. You're looking at 12 hours from the west coast. Anything 9 and under is a hop skip and a jump as far as I'm concerned.

But my wife really has a hard time getting on flights for a variety of reasons so I don't like to push the envelope too much. What we did on this last trip is tied for the longest flight she's ever taken at about 8 hours. She's cool with me going without her so if push comes to shove that's what I'd do, just need to loop in a buddy.

Japan is currently #1 on my list but the Mrs. isn't terribly fond of flights. Flying to Europe is about her max, although she does desperately want to visit Japan. We'll see. Ever been? I've been to three cities in Japan - Nagoya, Kyoto, and Tokyo. Nagoya was where a college buddy of mine lived, so he showed me around. It wasn't a particularly amazing city, but it demonstrated all the qualities I loved about Japan from my brief stay - cleanliness, modernity, and politeness everywhere. Not a trash can to be found, yet the streets were spotless. Conversely, many Chinese cities (I lived in China for seven years) were filthy despite countless trash cans all over the place. Kyoto was by far the best of the three. Stunningly beautiful; a movie come to life. Culture and history everywhere you look. Tokyo was honestly kind of wacky. I'd never before been invited to enter what was almost certainly a brothel in a crowded area by a girl who looked like a cartoon. Nor seen numerous "no foreigners allowed" signs outside bars. Not before I'd been to Tokyo. Delicious food, of course. I was also a drinker back then so I got to experience the nightlife - I'd have little interest now.
