Uncle Ted laid this down in one take
There’s a small group of artists where I can’t separate the art from the artist. Come to think of it, there’s only two, and this walking talking pile of shit is one of them. Yeah Stranglehold is good as are some of his other songs. But he’s such a piece of garbage I stopped listening to him. Kanye is the other. You may ask where I draw the line as the music biz is filled with hateful trash. I dunno, I guess I don’t care too much about those others. I mean Vince Neil killed a guy and turned into a fat waste but I’ll still jam to Dr. Feelgood. There's a difference between just being an asshole, and being someone who is actively making the world worse. Nugent and Kanye are definitely the latter.

The 10 golf tournaments I still watch, & seems the only ones I still do... in order of personal preference, with a huge scheduling & location bias for good tv.
1. The Masters 2. US Open 3. Canadian Open 4. PGA Championship 5. The Open Championship 6. The Player's 7. RBC Heritage (Harbour Town) 7. The Tour Championship 8. Genesis Invitational (LA Open) 9. Traveller's Championship 10.The Sentry (Tournament of Champions)
The Memorial I never quite got into after Tiger. In between the PGA & US Opens, & the NBA & NHL Finals, I'm just not tuned in. I used to love the Florida Swing, until Doral went to oblivion.

Top 10 championships won by teams I root against, or at the very least don't root for. As always, in no particular order.
1. 2016 Chicago Cubs. No explanation required, I don't think.
2. 2004 Boston Red Sox. Also broke a curse.
3. 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers. The city of Cleveland gets its first championship in any sport in over half a century.
4. 2022 Argentinian World Cup team. Messi gets his Cup.
5. 2021 Atlanta Braves. Beat the cheating ass Astros.
6. 2018 Washington Capitals. Ovi finally gets his cup.
7. 2011 Dallas Mavericks. Spoil Miami's chances after Lebron and Bosh join, and Nowitzki and numerous other veterans finally get their ring.
8. 2007 New York Giants. Throw a wrench in the Patriots' plans to make history.
9. 2016 New England Patriots. Was rooting for the Falcons, but Brady leads the greatest comeback in Super Bowl - nay, arguably NFL - history.
10. 2015 Denver Broncos. Peyton Manning goes out on top.

Favorite TV characters off the top of my head, not including 30 minute comedies:
1. Walter White, Breaking Bad. No explanation needed.
2. Villanelle, Killing Eve. The most mesmerizing character I’ve ever seen. Couldn’t look away every time she was on screen.
3. Thomas Shelby, Peaky Blinders. Probably the only person who is on my wife’s hall pass list and mine.
4. Jack McCoy, Law & Order. Only as Executive ADA, not when he became DA. If I was the victim of a crime I’d want him to prosecute.
5. Dexter Morgan, Dexter. Such a fundamentally different character than his role on Six Feet Under but he nailed them both perfectly.
6. Omar Little, The Wire. My skin color is the only reason he isn’t my screen name here.
7. (tie) Leslie Higgins and Sam Obisanya, Ted Lasso. Really, every single character is fantastic, this could have been a 15 way tie. But they’re my favorites.
8. Ruth Langmore, Ozark. What a performance this was. Reminded me a little too much of my ex-wife’s relatives though.
9. Homelander, The Boys. Another mesmerizing character. I’ve never seen this guy in anything else but now I’ll never not see this character in whatever he plays.
10. Claire Fisher, Six Feet Under. Probably the best, most believable acting performance on a show filled with great performances.

Fine choices. I'd have to think about full lists but I'd certainly add David Fisher (Six Feet Under), Dr. Cox (Scrubs), Vic Mackey and Shane Vendrell (The Shield), Al Swearengen (Deadwood), Boyd Crowder (Justified), Kendall Roy (Succession), Atia of the Julii (Rome), Cersei Lannister (Game of Thrones), and Carrie Mathison (Homeland).

I thought of Dr Cox like an hour after I posted my list. He was easily my favorite character on Scrubs. One of my favorite episodes of TV was the emotional punch that was when they did the rabies infected transplants. That show had a lot of heart to it for a 30 minute comedy. Another addition to honorable mentions would have been Max from Happy Endings.

Another I forgot was Richard Harrow on Boardwalk Empire. The sad man with the fucked up face turns out to be cold blooded killer

I love Dr. Cox, my favorite character on Scrubs, but I didn’t include 30 minute comedies. He’d be up there on that list though. Regarding Carrie Mathison, I thought she was brilliant all around, especially season 1. It’s been a while since I’ve watched it but if I remember correctly the later seasons weren’t as good. Didn’t they also later downplay some of her mental issues as the show went on? Still, a great performance. I loved Mandy Patinkin on the show too.
