And would it bother you that your partner will have to sit one or two seats away from you?

I don’t think it would be anymore than one seat away and when they do reopen, admittance per cinema will be capped.
If there is something on worth seeing I may go, but I haven’t majorly missed not going.

I am usually 50\50 Nora. I like to find someone to go with if I can to use my other pass, but I have no qualms about going alone and sometimes I may even enjoy that more and those times are on a whim. Because I know they’re closed, I am not scouring the sites to see what piques my interest. I wouldn’t be going half as much if I was paying anyway.

I'll go when I'm vaccinated. The last film I saw was The Lighthouse, in November.

I would go and I’d prefer a couple seats of spacing anyhow.

Don’t be surprised if the Oscars are revamped to include made for television movies. I think Hollywood as we know it won’t be back for a while.

Whether I go back depends on several factors: (1) The relative position of the pandemic--i.e., how flat is the curve? (2) My general health and that of my housemates (obviously, if any of us have--or test positive for--Covid, we ain't goin' nowhere!) (3) How much money I can spare (4) The quality and availability of the movies then playing Frankly, it's hard for me to imagine what it will be like to go back to something as "normal" as going out to a movie...but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Maybe this would be a good time to stage a revival of drive-in theaters. If each family/party sat in its own car, and every two cars were separated by a 6-ft minimum--and remember, the cars would not be parked in an enclosed, crowded space--now, that I would definitely be willing to leave my house for! UPDATE: I just discovered (through the wonders of Google) that there are over a dozen drive-in theaters within fifty miles of my current location. I guess I shouldn't have been so surprised...this is Southern California, after all.
