Sherlock Holmes is almost a zero in pop culture relevance nowadays IMDB lists 71 movies and 24 tv series with Sherlock Holmes in the title, 150 movies and 53 series with Sherlock Holmes in the description, and I guarantee there are many more (e.g. House, Psych, Mentalist, Murdoch) that were inspired by but not directly attributed to Sherlock Holmes. It's easily among the biggest influencers of pop culture. The most recent Bond movie made almost $900 million dollars - and it only has a 63% from critics and 61% from the fans.
"I guarantee you ___ was "influenced" by___" isn't an argument You'd be better off citing the two recent shows on PBS and CBS.

LOL, so let me get this straight ... Sherlock Holmes influencing pop culture isn't an argument for Sherlock Holmes' influence in pop culture? I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Can you not read, lol.

Sherlock Holmes is almost a zero in pop culture relevance nowadays. There's a Sherlock Holmes movie coming out next year. I did say almost zero for a reason.
The last Holmes movie with RDJ made $545 million. The last Bond movie made something like $880 million, so Bond wins that category. The last Bond movie also made more than the first RDJ Sherlock movie. I think you're going to find that's the case in most comparisons of movies, especially being that most Sherlock movies are old.
There's major buzz every time a Bond movie comes out, which I honestly still find surprising at this point, but it still happens. Does that happen when Sherlock stuff comes out?
