I agree with the parts I put in bold. His last movie that most people have heard of was Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) and his 2 movies since then are even worse, though The Hole starts off interestingly. I also forgot to mention I also prefer Dante's segment in Twilight Zone: The Movie - 83' over the others. It was wacky and creepy both at the same time and visually strong with terrific lighting and atmosphere. Then again, Spielberg had much input on this film as well. George Miller's final segment is still tops too though and I even like Landis's prologue and first segment. Spielberg felt he had to change his due to the tragic accident on Landis's set to give the audience something more whimsical amongst the darker tone of the others. My favorite is the last segment, but Dante's is easily the second best of the bunch. I love Landis's prologue, but I am more mixed on the first segment. It has a great idea and the end of the segment is very effective, but the middle parts are just sort lazy imo.

The segment had to be edited around that sequence and who's to say even if it was filmed without incident, that it may have still been scrapped in the editing process. I doubt it though, due to the short length of the story that would have been integral to the plot. The ending was perfect.

I think he should have just picked one thing instead of making him go into different situations. The point would have still gotten through.

Yes, good point, he could have done a lot with Nazi Germany thing, yet his character was bigoted on many levels not just Jews. Morrow got a roundabout experience. I always found Vic Morrow a terrific actor who embellished many films with his presence, B grade or A grade.

Like I get what it is doing and why it does it that way, but the impact of the experience scenes is lost in part because it jumps so much and the scenes feel generic. I think I am going to cap this off here. As for Vic Murrow, I have only seen him in The Twilight Zone movie.

I think they were going to go with a fairly long first segment. I think as it stands, Dante’s segment is the longest. The film is just under 105 mins, 4 segments and a prologue including end credits. I feel as an anthology the film is more successful than Romero’s hyped Creepshow -82’ which I don’t really like. I liked the second one better and that only had 3 tales.

Yeah, the 3rd segment is the longest and the most creative. The 4th is the scariest. I have seen the original version too. I much prefer the first Creepshow. I think it is creepier, better made and more fun. The sequel is okay, but I am not a fan of the hitchhiker segment at all. The first 2 segments are fun enough, but they just aren't creepy. My favorite is the lake segment. The Twilight Zone movie is best of the 3. My favorite anthology movie is Tales from the Crypt (1973).

Romero gave his film more comic book style, but I’m not that sold on the stories. I like all 3 in Creepshow 2 - 87’, yet feel a bit short changed as they could have gone for a fourth at least.

I am sold on some of the stories and some not, but I absolutely love the Ted Danson segment. It is my favorite segment from any anthology movie I have seen. It is scary, it is funny and it is dramatic. It is near perfection imo.

1987. I liked it very much then but haven't seen it - or wanted to for some reason - since.

Maybe 5 years ago. I enjoyed it a bit but despite the cool effects struck me as a bit of a popcorn flick.
