www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/philippe-coutinho-snubbed-liverpool-after-21925640OK, so this comes from a source whose credibility is iffy, at the best of times, but similar reports have appeared elsewhere. I don't understand Liverpool's fairly vehement NO here. Is it because the players/fans haven't forgiven him for leaving or is there something a bit deeper going on? After all they did get a lot of money from Barca when he moved. From a playing point of view much as I admire Henderson, Wijnaldum, Ox, etc., they are not as creative in midfield, Liverpool rely for the most part on their wing-backs and the searching long balls that Virgil occasionally produces. And Coutinho does score goals. Chelsea seem interested in him, and it wouldn't surprise me if Spuds didn't start sniffing around. Not only have they lost Eriksen, but Dembele hasn't settled and Coutinho playing with Son and Kane and Moura might just get Spuds across the line.
