Miley Cyrus is going to stick around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe past Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, according to director James Gunn — although it's not quite clear just where she's going to show up next.
"My plan is to see more of [Miley Cyrus' character]," Gunn told the Toronto Sun. "I’m not sure about her appearing in Vol. 3, we’ll have to see about that, but it’s our plan to see more of Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus in space? Only in the MCU.

Alan Tudyk is a plus, too, and if they didn't ditch her and recast I'd have said Kate Micucci as well. I don't even mind Vanessa Hudgens in it, either. A big part why I think it failed was because it couldn't sustain itself very well - It had zero ties to prior existing DC shows or movies so a huge problem was that it only referenced, and barely showed, any of the major superhero-supervillain goings on that would've made people glued to their TV's. If it had been tied to The CW shows you wouldn't have to show characters like The Flash or Green Arrow but what's going on in their own shows could've still been talked about, and if it had been tied to the movies it might've helped fill the gap into some things leading into Wonder Woman and Justice League. As is, the show just didn't work and was destined for failure.
