LaVey's Church of Satan is just dress up for wannabe badboy atheists. It's a fraud.
Aleister Crowley was a real Satanist even if he didn't call himself that.
The Process Church of the Final Judgment were real Satanists.
I'd also say some of those teenage hillbilly vampire cults in the South have invoked Satan.

Crowley was categorically NOT a Satanist. He didn't believe in the Christian god so certainly didn't believe in the Devil as anyone who has read his works can tell you, leant far more towards Buddhist beliefs due to his early teaching from Alan Bennett. There are in fact very few Occult orders that can be considered "Satanist" for that reason, it is a Christian concept so doesn't really fit with most mystery traditions which if anything lean towards an esoteric take on ritual psychology almost. The Order Of The Nine Angles is Satanist but offhand can't think of any other genuine Satanic orders although there are probably a few scattered here and there in very limited membership and linked to extreme right wing beliefs. Important to remember that often orders like The Illuminates of Thanateros and other modern "Chaos Magick" groups get the same mud slung at them but also have no Christian basis to them and are based on Crowley's "A∴A∴" in the method of "single practitioner teaching"

Look at ones actions. the more those types oppose Christianity and it's moral standards the more they are doing satans work. sounds like a great way of defining satanists if you ask me. I am sure there are more hardcore types behind the scenes who are truly evil (like murderer/vile types and the like and know exactly what they are doing (they basically invert everything in the Catholic church etc)) as I think many (like those who are lower into it) who claim to be satanist think it's more of a game or cool to go against the norm not realizing they are doing something stupid as it's just stupid to blatantly oppose God and persist in doing that with no desire to repent etc as your playing with fire and eventually you will get burned. or those who screw around with the occult etc. SandmanI think that applies more to those in positions of power. probably not the common person as much. but at the same time... one is either for God or against Him and in this regard I think some people do satans work and might not fully realize it. but I think it's safe to say that collectively... the democrats are getting more and more anti-Christian as time passes as they can't let morality get in the way of their "progress" (i.e. moral decline under the guise of "rights"), or power grab for that matter. they have this rebel mindset against true morality (i.e. non-serviam (I will not serve)). or those types who get really upset when someone opposes abortion, pretty much shows you what's in their hearts. these types got it coming if they fail to repent as you can't 'beat' God. so your only choice is to get inline with Him, or face the eternal consequences at the end of the day. NOTE: I get we are all sinners, so no one is perfect, but some people really go off-the-rails and support/promote plenty of bad thing as after a certain point your just a corrupt person.

one is either for God or against Him A false dilemma (or sometimes called false dichotomy) is a type of informal fallacy, more specifically one of the correlative-based fallacies, in which a statement falsely claims an "either/or" situation, when in fact there is at least one additional logically valid option. The presentation of a false choice often reflects a deliberate attempt to eliminate several options that may occupy the middle ground on an issue. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_dilemma

Supposedly they don’t actually worship satan, but if that’s true then why call yourself a satanist? Lol The "Satanism" aspect is more of a symbolic gesture against Christianity than an actual genuine belief in Satanism and more of a social movement than a religiouis one. Actually the Nation of Islam isn't too different in their approach, they idenityify as "Muslims" as a symbolic gestures towards what they consider to be the oppresive white man's religion (Chritianity) even though I'm pretty sure most of the members don't actually believe in Islam.

Some Satanic groups are, like LeVayan, etc. However, there are theistic Satanic groups as well.

Frankly, LeVayan's approach to religion is how I think most intelligent people should approach religion and religious figures: not as literal supernatural entities to be believed in, but merely as symbols for what one values to be followed. So I don't see why someone who follows Satan as a symbol for those who are adversarial (the literal meaning of Satan) to social/cultural norms and who stress individuality over conformity shouldn't be considered a "true Satanist," as opposed to the the cartoonish concept of people who believe in dark/evil magic and who worship a dark/evil being they think literally exists.

95% of liberals and Democrats. Trump supporters, though worshiping Mammon isnt really Satanism. Trump supporters are worse because there are not Satanists to elect Moloch.
