Instructions for the very thin crust only had the option of placing on a cookie sheet. I'm used to ones that also say "for a crisper crust, bake directly on the oven rack. Mistake. Too heavy and wet, despite my strategies to dry the cheese and put dry ingredients on first.
Had to rescue it without much falling to the bottom of the oven or onto the door. I had to fold it over on itself to get much of a hold on anything. Maybe didn't have it in long enough.
Ended up looking like a cross between a grade school science project volcano and Jabba the Hutt. No one would have guessed it was a pizza initially. I should have taken a photo, but was too hungry. And I was not averse to eating the cheese crispies that stuck to the oven and a sausage piece or two from the bottom.

Heated the leftover mass in the air fryer and it was like a perfect calzone.

I don't like thin crust pizza. In fact I had one from Domino's last night and it was awful. The only reason I wanted to try it was because I thought their regular pizza crust was too thick. Domino's used to be one of the best pizza chains, in my opinion, back in the early 80s. Now they are one of the worst. Their pizza crust is always either too thick or too thin and skimpy on the toppings. I think the very best pizza crust is New York style.

And I was not averse to eating the cheese crispies that stuck to the oven Yes sir. I deliberately overload the cheese on toast (or grilled cheese) so that I get run-off crispies to enjoy when they've crispied up.
