This thread could be re-titled current old bags that were once hot.  Except that would be mean. Everybody gets old. It's wrong to insult someone for something that is beyond their control. |

I agree... and I also think it is wrong for people to bash... A woman, who was faced with either, having to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair due to a crippling genetic disease, or, to take medications that "ruined" her looks in order to be able to stay out of that wheelchair and to live a fairly normal life... Interestingly, Kathleen Turner is a far better person than some posters here are, and actually has the courage and a great sense of humor about herself to take on movie and TV roles that intentionally makes fun of her more recent appearance. But, apparently, I guess it is far more important for some people here to complain about the fact they can no longer 'jack off' to their favorite celebrity crushes, instead of, actually finding out that people don't look like they used to due to situations 'beyond their control' and then to show some them some understanding and symphony... by at least NOT adding their names to selfish and bigoted discussions like this one.

And going on lightly as of this thread title isn't just as mean? The difference in my example is the lack of tact with in the face harsh reality. But never the less both titles convey the same meaning to remembrance of lost youth and beauty if that is the intent of the OP.

The lack of tact in the face of harsh reality. Yes. If you look at it a certain way, you could say it's a kind of gallows humor, but to a lesser degree. But the way the OP was worded is still less mean than yours. |
