My Microsoft Edge browser keeps popping me up the message:
So do I need Adobe Flash for anything important? Why shouldn’t I? What is my best choice?
Thanks in advance for your good advice.

So do I need Adobe Flash for anything important? Why shouldn’t I? What is my best choice? Thanks in advance for your good advice. Adobe Flash is used for games and video content. It may be replaced by HTML 5 at some point, but for now it is still widely used. As to what's dangerous about it, nothing - provided you keep it up to date. The problem is many people are unknowingly running outdated versions of Flash and that makes them vulnerable. You can visit this page, and it will tell you if you're running an old version and let you install the latest one: www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/Note - if you want to use Flash, you have to update it for every browser for which you have it installed. For example, on my system I have two versions installed, one for Internet Explorer and one for Seamonkey (Mozilla browser, cousin to Firefox). Hope that helps.

Flash (and Java) are just security risks so unless you must have them installed i would completely remove them. HTML5 can be used on YouTube instead and it seems less and less websites require Flash. the sooner Flash dies the better for computer security.

There's still a lot of sites that has flash as a requirement for games, animated ui content, and videos. Videos on facebook are in flash to which I just learned that this morning as I tried to watch something and had to go to my plugins to enable it.

loofapotatoI don't have any issues playing general videos on Facebook (like random videos in my Facebook feed seem to work fine) and i don't even have Flash installed at all on my Pale Moon x64 browser.
