Yeah, I know, this is a bit of a stretch, because this CLASSIC film isn't about the Mom... But, I still think it's very cool, and it at least deserves an "honorary" mention...

Ginger Rogers' mother, Lela Rogers, had the unique privilege of being able to star in one of her daughter's films, "The Major And The Minor" (1942)... And actually played Susan Applegate's (Ginger) mother: Mrs. Applegate!

Doris Day has always had my vote for Most Authentic Screen Mom. Although she had only one child in real life, she was at her maximum screen "momness" when dealing with broods of multiple children, from toddler to teenager, with equal parts authority and indulgence, forbearance and mediation, distraction and resigned, eye-rolling exasperation.

One is a Korean movie by the recent Oscar Best Director winner Bong Joon Ho: Mother (2009)

The other was directed by Darren Aronofsky: Mother! (2017)
