Oh yes, several times. I consider it one of the more effective crime thrillers of the era, with its extensive location work preserving so much San Francisco atmopshere, much of which is now long gone, for the pacing of its steadily-heighteing velocity and tension, and for the psychological examinations of its complex and frightening bad guys. For the collapse of sections during the '89 Loma Prieta quake, killing 3 1/2 dozen people, and images of which endured as probably the most morbidly iconic and chilling of that event.
