I swear I'll get around to "Don Quixote" one of these years!
I have been meaning to read one of the Inspector Carvalho novels by Manuel Vazquez Montalban, ever since I found out that they were an inspiration for the Sicilian fictional detective Montalbano.
"Homeland" sounds like a book I would enjoy. I will add it to my never-ending list of books to read some day.

I read the first half of DQ. It’s pretty good. Rather funny in places. The 2nd part is supposed to be better than the first so I may read it someday.

I've only read Don Quixote (after seeing the play Man of La Mancha decades ago) and the Sun Also Rises (I think Hemingway like to romanticize a lot). I'll have to try some of the others while I can still see good enough.
