It’s a French miniseries called “Dérapages” that will be available starting tomorrow (at least here in Canada - not sure about other locations). Cantona plays an executive who’s been out of a job for some time and can’t catch a break. Apparently it was a huge success when it aired in France originally.

For the benefit of our American posters who may not know who Eric Cantona is, he is a former soccer player from France (but who played professionally in England for a long time) turned actor after retirement.

Not a yuge fan of his acting abilities. Mind you I’ve only seen him in a couple of films.

Interestingly, he was in “The Salvation”, a Danish western that was mentioned in one of our OT threads very recently. Good movie if you like westerns. I didn’t remember that Cantona was in it though.

Haven't seen that one. I saw Looking for Eric and one French one whose title escapes me.

I recommend it. Best Danish (*) western I've ever seen! I borrowed it from the library and liked it so much that when I saw the blu-ray for sale later for a reasonable price I bought it to have in my collection.
(*)"Danish" in the sense that it is a Danish production with a Danish director and a Danish main actor (Mads Mikkelsen), but it takes place in the American west and it is spoken almost entirely in English.

Maybe of the fan Cantona fly-kicked?
The initial description that I had seen made it sound like it is a drama about a middle-aged man who can't find a job, but apparently there is more to it than that. It's some sort of thriller; he finds a new job but things are not as they seem.
