Are there any female characters that DC can make movies of (that people will go see) that aren't heavily tied to a male character? Wonder Woman, Batgi- wait... Superg- hmm... Oh, oh they can make a Batwo- This is difficult. Well, Harley Quinn in Gotham City Sirens, but she's a Batman villain... as are all the rest of the sirens. Hopefully they'll include Black Canary in that movie then spin-off into her own movie...

I disagree. There are lots of good female characters. But none that are good enough to be the lead character in a movie. That's why MCU has released 14 movies so far and the lead character in all 14 movies has been a Caucasian male and MCU won't have a movie with a female lead character until their 20th movie at the earliest. By that time, the DCEU will have already released Wonder Woman, Gotham City Sirens, and Batgirl. Well, those DCEU movies will bomb so they'll do more damage than good. By contrast, the MCU will strike gold with Captain Marvel so the wait will be worth it.

Its a problem when Pepper Potts is the best character. Widow Hope Pym Cassie Lang Sharon Carter Peggy Carter Lady Sif Frigga Maria Hill All minor characters that MCU doesn't believe are good enough to be the lead character in a superhero movie.

Each of their first 3 movies grossed more than 75% of MCU's movies and the 3 movies combined grossed more than $2 billion, a mark that took MCU 5 movies to reach. By contrast, MCU has had plenty of bombs and stinkers (like The Incredible Hulk) and Captain Marvel will most likely be another stinker (like The Incredible Hulk).

The DCEU movies cost more to make, and they were using the easy characters they didn't need to introduce to the public. Despite that, the movies under-performed. So compared to that, MCU did better. And Incredible Hulk wasn't a bomb. If THAT'S the worst you can dig up, one movie from almost 10 years ago, you need to try harder.

Incredible Hulk wasn't a bomb. The Incredible Hulk was a bomb. That's why he's the only 1 of MCU's phase 1 characters who didn't get a sequel. Not only that, but MCU had to replace the actor playing the Hulk.
MCU fans were posting a whole bunch of BS and trash about Ben Affleck not playing Batman anymore. Yet despite all the BS and trash talk by MCU fans, it's MCU that's the only 1 that has had to replace 1 of their major heroes with another actor. Not much of a "shared" universe when they have to replace a major hero with another actor after just 1 movie.

No, it was middling not a bomb. It didn't get a sequel because Universal holds the distribution rights and won't let them make another one. Hulk works best with others to play off of anyways. So you let some minor complaining get to you this much? Grow up.

The character is bigger than the actor.
