That is to say, if you are primarily a Marvel fan, which DC character speaks to you the most (if any)?
For me, sadly there aren't many. Most of the iconic and well known DC characters hold little interest for me because of their near god-like status. The Batman is a notable exception because of his innate psychological complexity. I can also freely admit that some of the greatest stories in all of comic book literature are Superman stories.
For me though, the DC hero that I find to be the most engaging and dynamic is Captain Marvel. I actually shed tears when Batson sacrificed himself in Kingdom Come. It rivaled the death of the other Captain Marvel.
When the DCEU finally deigns to make a SHAZAM! film, I will stand up and take notice.

Bruce Wayne.
If you guys like 'Batman' so much, try reading Knightfall. It has THREE 'Batmans'

Superman is still my favorite, has been since I was young. (I am also a fan of the DC Captain Marvel, as Atom(ica) Discord is.) With that said, the only comic-books in which I have any interest are from the "Golden" and "Silver" ages (they tell real, well-plotted stories with real characters), so I've no real idea what the comics are like now--though they're not particularly good if Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman are any indication.
