Are there any actors or actresses that most people seem to think are bad in a movie. But that you don`t think is that bad.
I don`t think Jennifer Lawrence was that bad in the X-Men movies.

Lawrence is serviceable in the X-Men films.
I think her performance is hated on because she is Jennifer Lawrence.
My pick is Jamie Foxx in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I think he is quite good as Electro. I'll also throw a mention to Dane Dahaan and Marton Csokas in the same movie (Csokas is a hammy actor and his style works perfectly in this film and with the type of character he is playing). Paul Giamatti is terrible though.

I don't know if people still think she was bad or if it was only when the movie came out, but Shelley Duvall in The Shining.

Jared Leto as the Joker in Suicide Squad. I liked the approach of him being this manipulative deviant. The tattoos still suck but I honestly rather wish they went with him as the big bad instead of whatever the hell Cara Delevingne was doing.

That's not very high praise. A trained monkey would have made a better villain than Cara Delevingne.

He is agreeing with your opinion that Jennifer Lawrence isn't bad in the X-Men films.

The whole cast of Congo, but especially the superb Ernie Hudson? (I don't know if that really counts, though.) Bela Lugosi's Frankenstein Monster in Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man. David Manners and Helen Chandler in Dracula. Ralph Bellamy in the '40s Ellery Queen movie series. Sofia Coppola in The Godfather Part III. ("What, Salzmank? Are you out of your mind?"--Well, Miss Coppola certainly isn't good in the movie, but she isn't as absolutely terrible as she's made out to be, either. It's a middling performance easily overshadowed by the larger-than-life performances around it.) Winona Ryder and Gary Oldman in Bram Stoker's Dracula. (But not Keanu Reeves. Ugh, that's one of the worst performances I've ever seen in my life.) Johnny Depp in The Lone Ranger (which was a surprisingly good movie that did not deserve the critical panning it received). Albert Finney in Murder on the Orient Express. OK, I think that's all for now... ...but, oh wait, how could I forget? Tommy Wiseau in The Room. Masterpiece of a film there... Just kidding! Kidding!

Hayden Christensen in Revenge of the Sith. He was pretty crappy in Ep II, but he improved significantly in Ep III. I still blame some of it on the crappy writing, though.

That is news to me.
I don't think those should count tbh.

The little bit of Jared Leto's Joker that we got in Suicide Squad went a long way. Cara Delevingne was a decent big bad as Enchantress.

Totally agree. Gary Oldman is absolutely great as Dracula!
