It's been 15 years since Herbie: Fully Loaded. Would you watch a new Herbie movie if they made one?

I'd rather have those German "Superbug" rip-offs make a comeback. Especially if they'd still make them as cheap and stupid as they used to be.

No. What possessed me when I was younger to watch those Herbie films is a mystery.

If it handles the nostalgia element proper whilst doing its own thing, sure. If itās in the vein of say The Shaggy Dog (2006) or something else similarly shitty then hard pass.

I liked the first one with Dean Jones. That was about it. That's when there were about a million real VW Beetles on the road too and you could play a good game of slug bug.

Itās hard to make good car movies these days. Very few Modern cars have the charisma to be a āleading manā or āwomanā.

I actually quite liked it, very underrated (never saw the original) It was pretty good, the original was really good though too. Then again, the "hero" car of the 2000 version was a '67 Mustang (roughly contemporary with the Love Bug). Would it have been as good with a 2000 model Mustang? I doubt it.
