I can't think of a great movie, yet.. But if no one can come up with any, I'll reply later with a decent movie.

The War of the Worlds, which I think is a great film whenever the son isn't on the screen.

Field of Dreams, the wife is pretty annoying, though I do like that actress.

I'd hesitate to call it a great movie - there's possibly one buried in it somewhere - but Julianne Moore in Magnolia.

Nancy Allen in Blow Out. Easily one of the most annoying female performances I can think of.

The Thin Red Line/Adrien Brody - He slouches around the movie with a tedious look of self-pity. Malick did well to trim him out as much as possible.

The Dark Knight
This movie has a handful of minor roles with bad acting. The fake Batman in the Joker video and some of the actors on the civilian ferry.

Stephen Lack in Scanners
I don't think Lack is that bad and anyway, his character is supposed to be in a constant state of confusion. But yeah, it's not a good performance. Cronenberg has regretted casting Lack in many interviews.

Cronenberg has regretted casting Lack in many interviews. He ruins the entire movie for me. It is a good movie that is ruined by his performance.

Maybe not a great film, but a very good one--Peggy Sue Got Married. Good performances all around, with the exception of Nicolas Cage, who inexplicably chose to deliver his dialogue in some kind of cartoon voice.

I always found Cybill Shepherd distractingly bad in Taxi Driver, and not much better in The Last Picture Show.

Art Hindle in the Brood is kind of weak too but I guess he was meant to be very bland normal (except when he is photographing his daughter in the nude...that wouldn't fly now).

Not a great film of course, but I'm sure we could have used someone else besides Keanu Reeves in Dracula.

That is the one I had in mind.. It's so obvious, no one even has to mention Sophia Coppola!

LOL, I actually think his performance in that Movie is 1 of those very rare types of bad performances that is so bad that it is actually enjoyable to watch.
