I have to choose parts 1, 3 & 7 (all the ones involving Wes Craven), though I really, really like part 4 as well. Part 5 I find entertaining and I've grown fonder of part 2 with the passage of time. I also enjoy 'Freddy Vs. Jason', for what it is.
The only disappointment to me in the original franchise is part 6.
I don't like the remake.

1. The Dream Master 2. The Dream Child 3. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) Big fan of the 1984 original. In fact, it's my second favourite 80s horror movie. Have still not managed to see The Dream Master or The Dream Child though. Will check them out in the autumn.

My least favorites are Part 5 and New Nightmare and I don't even care to talk about the reboot.

Elm Street 1984, New Nightmare, Freddy's Revenge.
I thought the 2010 remake was very watchable, though not exactly good.
