Does every episode include at least one question about Canada, since Alex Trebek is Canadian?

I don't think it has anything to do with the host, at least in the sense that he calls for it. Canadian content is required for the show to air in Canada - hence the Canadian questions. Perhaps Trebek himself is Canadian content. Second City faced the same issue so they ingeniously came up with Bob and Doug McKenzie's “Great White North”.

I regularly watch Jeopardy! for years and not every episode has a Canada-related question or category.

At least once a week they should have a question about breakfast grapefruit design in the movies of the 30's.

I regularly watch Jeopardy! for years and not every episode has a Canada-related question or category. The questions come and go so quickly ... never paid any attention to a National theme or lack of one. Too busy saying the correct answers to notice !

Yes, and Alex is visibly hurt when none of the contestants know the correct response.

Strangely enough, on the May 25 episode, there was a Final Jeopardy question about U.S. geography that read: "Touching Canada at boundary county, the northern part of this state's panhandle has been referred to as 'the chimney'". Then, on yesterday's episode, there was a category about "Canadian places".

Wednesday's show included a question about a Canadian pop star. Coincidence ?!

Start keeping a tally of every country mentioned in every category.

Start keeping a tally of every country mentioned in every category. I already have, and it's disgraceful that Burkina Faso hasn't been mentioned in years.

I watch it often and I don't think so. Or its magnificent capital: Ouagadougou Eleven letters, including eight vowels.

I just finished reading Answers in the Form of Questions, a book about the show, and I got my answer. While not included in every show, Canada is a category that is re-used fairly often.
