I find it odd that it was marvel studios that told the least accurate spiderman story based on the comics. its not what I expected, i expected them to tell the most accurate story only very watered down because it is Disney. for those of you who had high expectation for mcu spiderman, maybe in your ignorance higher than sam raimi movies. what are your feelings now seeing how mcu spiderman is seen as inferior to the raimi films and not even as brash as the Garfield movies. Secondly is Andrew Garfield underrated? He did have a loyal fan base, many spiderman fans loved garfield and emma and the peter and gwen romance. amazing spiderman 2 was shaky but I am sure if sony were to go back in time, they would have thought twice before sharing the rights with marvel. Speaking of Spider-Man ps4, the Arkham games are a way better and more accurate representation of Batman than anything in the Nolan trilogy, how about that?

I expected the best version of the character on film to date, and got exactly that. Funny how you say least accurate, when true Spider-Man fans know he's the most comics accurate.

I haven't read comics myself, but I think 'The Amazing Spider-Man' duology is the least comics-accurate Spider-Man film series. Raimi's trilogy is based on 60s comics incarnation while Watts' duology is based on modern incarnation (like 'The Spectacular Spider-Man'). 'The Amazing Spider-Man' duology, on the other hand, seems to be riding (a) coattails(?) of 'Twilight' series - and that's not a good thing.

The personality of the character is about what I expected, as was skipping his origin and all the Uncle Ben stuff after how stale it got in TASM, but I wasn't expecting them to tie the character so heavily to Iron Man. It's like if they made Superman a Green Arrow sidekick.

Being recruited by & kept under wing of Tony Stark, I thought MCU would be grooming Spider-Man to lead/co-lead the post-Infinity Saga era. Far From Home was far too lightweight & inconsequential for me on that.
On the other hand, I found he did fit in quite seamlessly with the Avengers, from Civil War through Endgame. That's a huge plus that could've gone awry.
Alas, after 2 solo movies & 3 Avengers films, I'd hoped we'd be further along with his development.
