Sure. I did just say that but I agree. As a side note I was asked by the Sunday School Teacher and the Preacher not to bring up points like this in class when I was a kid. They took me aside and told me that the Bible's Meaning and Translation was not to be questioned by a child. Well, organized religion doesn't take well to questions because much of it starts falling apart when questioned. The evangelicals are particularly bad about it. I'm sure I do not need to tell you either of these things.

If you add up the value of the letters using gematria (a system of assigning numbers to letters and understanding how other words match based on their values).
So in this case, the letters add up to 42, which is a popular phrase for "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything" is 42.

When you project your beliefs onto him, you're displaying your own limitations. This man can speak for himself. He already has. He doesn't need you distorting his words or trying to reinterpret them. That you feel the need to do so speaks of insecurity on your part. Oh I did not. You either willfully ignored what was obvious or you can't see what is obvious. Don't try to get all offended acting over my being a Christian and calling you out on the obvious. He doesn't agree. i think that is obvious. He was an evangelical singer and song writer... so of course he knows that others who are still his friends will... evangelize... He has free will and nobody but him can speak for him... I’m vaguely familiar with the recounted aspects of many mythological “underworld/punisher/trickster” characters, sure. Why learn about just the one? Mythology is, in general, full of kick-ass story arcs and the types of nasty characters only bronze-or-earlier civilizations could dream up to explain away tragedy.
