It looks like Warner has officially adopted the name.

So is it just the Snyder-verse movies or all of the DC movies? Extended Universe would make more sense if it was like a multiverse of live action movies. Or it could mean that Man of Steel was supposed to only be a Superman series, but BvS extended it to have more DC characters (even that wouldn't make sense cause they had DC Easter eggs in MOS).

You’re thinking too deeply about it. The name was initially coined by a journalist who had nothing to do with WB. It just happened to catch on with fans, and WB seems to have more or less accepted it now, because I guess they wanted to call it something. The label definitely doesn’t apply to DC movies in general, since movies like Joker aren’t listed under the DCEU banner for HBO Max.

Huh. I didn’t know that.
“....The name was initially coined by a journalist who had nothing to do with WB.”

Before then, most of us just assumed that the DCEU was the official name that WB had chosen for the franchise, only for it to be revealed that WB hadn’t actually bothered to come up with an official name for these movies.

Like are they calling the DC section the DC extended universe? You know because it's basically a large extended DC place where they would have all the DC movies. You know extended from just a single series of movies.

WB kept saying that it's not called the DCEU. They even tried to use The Worlds of DC or something.

As I said, movies like Joker and the Burton Batman movies aren’t listed under that label for the service.

That was just part of a Comic Con banner they did. As I said, WB never even bothered giving these movies a name until now.
