I'm taking my granddaughter to see the new Trolls movie tonight! I've always enjoyed the drive-in, and it's especially nice with a four-year-old who gets chatty, lol. Im hoping they make a come back after COVID. It's just nice to do a normal summer activity, even if we will be wearing masks into the concession stand. She likes the one in my avatar so that's what she'll probably wear, lol.
Did you go to the drive-in before COVID? Would you go now? I think it's not just a good family activity but a good date night as well 😁

All drive-ins in western Washington have turned into a megabox store or a warehouse distribution center.

That's awesome! I'd definitely go to an outdoor play.

You can find some great bargains though. I used to be on the freeway and you'd pass drive-ins at night with some new movie projecting out over the night sky. No more. I haven't seen a working drive-in theater in years.

Yeah they were swap meets as well but the land is too valuable and taxes not as profitable. There's one here called The Roadium which is so popular as a local swap meet that it more than pays for itself. Real estate has gone through the roof here though because it's Los Angeles metro and close to the beach. I'm sure eventually they'll tear down many of the other old drive-ins and build condos.

I am just so content in watching movies on my big screen that I have not thought about going to a theater in awhile even before this crisis. But that does seem like a pretty cool night out if you can go to a drive in

But that does seem like a pretty cool night out if you can go to a drive in It's really fun. I prefer it to the theater. It's perfect for young kids because they can fidget and chatter without bothering anyone else. My granddaughter had a lot of fun. And if you take a date you can talk about the movie or sneak some kisses in if it gets boring without bothering anyone else 😁😍
