This subject inspired me to add the following to the new quote thread for Working Girl (1988). You've got a 10 o'clock meeting with Slater from development here.  Slater: Captain, Starfleet is asking us the whereabouts of Enterprise. Sulu: Signal Starfleet we have no knowledge of Enterprise's whereabouts. Slater: Sir? Sulu: YOU HAVE A HEARING PROBLEM MISTER?!

Christian Slater is also the son of Mary Jo Slater, the casting director for Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and a major Hollywood casting director in the 1980s.
