These can taste amazingly like cotton candy, though not always. Plus they are usually $4 or even $5 a pound. I rarely buy them, and reduce the amount in the bags they fill. I'm not a taster, and like my grapes washed before eating, but once in a while I will sneak one in the store.
Speaking of tasting, I wonder if serve-yourself bulk bins will ever return. People were always going through Sprouts bin aisles stuffing their faces. I've heard Costco Samples are returning in a few weeks, but definitely not the way we are used to.

I used to buy Cotton Candy grapes at Publix, they were usually sweet. I don't think serve yourself bins will return, not only do people steal from them, I've seen little kids licking things and putting them back especially the bins with bread rolls. Some fruit i.e. apples, pears, bananas are still serve yourself.

I have to learn about Cotton Candy grapes. I'm not familiar with them.
As for bulk bins, I never really thought about the "iffiness" of going to common source. I haven't used them a great deal. One of the things that I have purchased from them is Arborio rice. I don't use it all that often, and (most) everything is cheaper in bulk. But, rice is cooked. However, I have been known to buy dried apricots, nuts, raisins and other snacky foods. Hmmm. Maybe I should re-think that.
