I trust there will be a calm and measured reaction. Pay no attention to Best Buy's plan to install new security systems at all its store locations.

I doubt he will be found not guilty. Had they charged him with first degree, then yes, he would likely be found not guilty, but third degree should result in a conviction.

The rioters will still get what they want.
Guilty or not that cop will do time. It's the way it works in this country.

The PBA always bails them out. So they will be suspended with pay.

I can see them protecting cops in general. but... in situations like these the cop clearly abused their authority and contributed to a persons death. so you can't just sweep it under the rug especially given what the cop did was clearly way over the line as he was already handcuffed and was no threat to the cop but yet he kept his knee on his neck for about 9 minutes.
but I can see one problem with them hanging this cop is that if you hang this cop, some people will start demanding "justice" for next to nothing, so the pendulum swings too far the other way. basically things will swing too far the other way to where cops will get hanged for next to nothing and we damn sure don't want that happening as then chaos will take over since cops will be handcuffed and can't do their job for fear of being punished. because while currently they get away with too much, you don't want things to swing back in the opposite direction to where a cop barely does anything and gets punished for it as that would be a big problem. but with that said... I do think cases where the cops blatantly abuse their power, like is the case here, their must be some level of punishment and it can't be some slap-on-the-wrist level punishment either.
but I guess with a fair amount of cops in general they crave authority over others which is the core of the problem as they get into their profession more for their authority over others than a genuine concern to help others and the like and this is what gets many to dislike the average cop as while these types ain't going to cross the line of killing or greatly harming someone, no one likes when others abuse their authority and screw with the common person over petty stuff which I think a fair amount of cops do.
