No, no one could riot over Floyd Lawson
Could they?
There was a time when a shirt with Floyd's picture was all the rage, as long as the shirt was pink. Get it?

Of course, none of these quotes came from Floyd. I always thought Floyd was a bit "slow". Maybe I'll open up a jar of Aunt Bee's pickles and think about it

Floyd had a big part in the greatest Andy Griffith Show episode, the one where he and Barney are taken hostage by the three escaped female convicts. One of the best half hours in television history. Floyd was having a good time until that one chick bashed the lamp over his head. Classic stuff.

Aunt Bee's pickles "kerosene cucumbers" The "Fun Girls" episode (I bet they put out, unlike Helen and Thelma Lou) Any episode the the Darlings The Citizens Arrest The Haunted House And especially any one with Ernest T. Bass
I was a good show. A lot more to it than Bernard P. Fife. But that show died when Don Knotts left, no doubt

They are all good, it was one of the greatest shows ever, and it still holds up today. Any episode with the Darlings was great, though oddly I wasn't a big fan of Ernest T. Bass. That character always annoyed me. Otis on the other hand.... It's true that the show was more than Barney Fife, there are quite a few classic episodes that he didn't even appear in, after all. But make no mistake, when Don Knotts left, the show was never the same. Not even close.
