I liked the scene where he does that goofy dance scene and emo hair and the stupid pie scene and, uh....um, uh...oh God I can't do it! What a piece of shit!

It's not a good movie...buuuut there are things you can defend. Some of the casting was inspired, for one.

After the excellent Spider-Man 2, it really is quite the disappointment.

The best reason to watch the movie.

Iâve always loved this movie. I kind of liked the overabundance of story as a kid since I saw it as ambitious. I still see it as that now, although I understand why people arenât fond of this one.

There's some good in it, bit not enough to make up for the bad stuff. Interestingly enough I'm pretty sure they ripped off the Venom transformation scene from the 90s cartoon:

That dance, though? LOL
And one villain too many.

I liked that he became an asshole. It was a change.

Interestingly enough I'm pretty sure they ripped off the Venom transformation scene from the 90s cartoon: I have no problem with it ripping a scene off from something else that is also Spider-Man. I agree that it has more bad than good, but it still has too much I like about it to consider it anything less than mediocre. My main issue with the movie is it takes a great story opportunity with dark Peter Parker and treats it like a joke.

Those scenes are intentionally hilarious, but they shouldn't be. The movie often feels like a parody of itself.

I mean they had three main villains (Venom, Sandman, Green Goblin), and a love triangle and the movie just kinda throws them at you without fleshing them out. The symboiote/Venom story arc alone would have to be two movies (or at least a three hour single movie), putting in two more villains just really hurt the pacing.

Maltin Movie Guide Review:
Spider-Man 3 (2007) - 2 out of 4 stars
"All the worst qualities of a manufactured sequel converge here: dorky Peter Parker's relationship with Mary Jane goes on the rocks (so it can be fixed), villanous Harry Osborn turns good while Spider-Man, infected by an alien fungus, turns bad, an escaped convict is molecularly transformed into Sandman (to provide another menace), and Peter acquires a ruthless rival at the Daily Bugle (for even more villainy). Slickly made but often boring and ineffectual, leading up to a climax where--surprise!--Spidey cries real tears. Special effects can't save an inferior script."

LOL, I actually still remember how excited everybody was when it was revealed that Topher Grace was going to be playing Venom in that Movie.

The ones with Sandman were ok. Spider-man 2 probably had the best action scenes overall, particuarlly the train scene with Doc Oc.
