No I don't think so, but a crossover between that movie and The 'Burbs would be something else.

It wasn't supposed to be.
Alas, it will likely be just as timely in another 10yrs still.

I don't believe that problem really exists in America today.
There are bad cops, of course, but I do not buy that there is systemic racism throughout as we are led to believe.

Eight minutes of someone's knee on someone else's neck. Either Derek Chauvin is a sadist, who is inexplicably charged with second degree murder for the death of someone who wrote a bad check for $20 OR... something else.

I believe so. In fact, a number of Spike Lee's films feel like social documents to me, they capture something about life and the way people and communities interact. It's one of the things that draws me to all of his work.

So the movie is still relevant.

sSo the movie is still relevant. I don't know. I think Spike Lee is a racist so I won't watch any of his films.
But studies have proven there is no systemic racism in law enforcement.
Doesn't mean we don't have bad cops. That's impossible to avoid.
But I don't believe black lives matter simply because it is so clear most black people don't believe black lives matter with their selective racially motivated outrage.

I will never watch any film by him.
He is a racist, but he is racist towards white people, which is not only accepted but encouraged.

His films (those in particular) seem to disagree with you. Like I said pity, but it's your loss.

I won't waste my time on his films.
