So it’s completed and been screened for the MPAA but we don’t even have a trailer yet?
Kinda weird.

So is this a remake of the 1962 film?

Really looking forward to this! I enjoyed the first two a lot. I liked both films but loved Skull Island more. The director for this one Adam Wingard promises the action will be wild. "...Taking to Instagram, Adam Wingard shared a screenshot of the explained rationale behind the PG-13 rating saying, "That's an understatement," with a winky face emoji." movieweb.com/godzilla-vs-kong-what-to-expect-adam-wingard/

Some websites are highlighting this as news and I don't understand why. It would be news if it had received any other rating (since it would've been a surprise), but who didn't think it would get a PG-13?

I agree with you, but I have a feeling that right now most sites are just so starved for any entertainment-related stories that they'll treat any little tidbit like it's Watergate.

How much of it will take place in the dark? They always go cheap on cgi with Legendary.

I'm looking forward to it, but there is one thing I'm not clear on. If both ' fall on the side of good' as they say in the review, why would they fight each other?

Either they're both heroes who see each other as enemies and eventually team up (like BATMAN V SUPERMAN) or they're both villains who team up and eventually see each other as enemies (like FREDDY VS JASON). In all these cases, the title characters don't spend much of the running time fighting with each other, but it makes for good marketing.

Two biggest kids on the block. Eventually they want to know who's the toughest. Makes sense. A new synopsis literally sums it up just like that: "As the gigantic Kong meets the unstoppable Godzilla, the world watches to see which one of them will become King of the Monsters."

With concerns about a COVID second wave I get why they're doing this. It's disappointing though.
