About 2 weeks ago there seemed to be quite a bit of "speculation" about Daredevil. There was speculation that Cox would appear in the next Spider-Man movie as Murdoch who would be representing Parker. There was also a lot of talk of Jason Statham being considered for the Daredevil role. Now I love Statham, but I recognise his limitations - as Daredevil yes...as Murdoch, not convined at all. This could be a case of crossed wires and old news, as apparentley he was at some point in discussion to be a Marvel villain, possibly Bullseye.

I thought they were getting the rights back in Oct, wasn't it meant to be 2 years after the last series hit Netflix that they had to wait? that would be mid October, not early December...oh well they get thr rgihts back soon enough so lets see what they can do with them, also means they should be getting Iron Fist and Luke Cage back any month now right? so they can finally do a spin off Daughters Of The Dragon series, probably for Hulu or something, but boy those 2 years have really flown by.

Depending on at what point in life the character is, they'd probably have to use She-Hulk (or at least Jennifer Walters). They'd have to wait on them to get the rights back for Daredevil. But, at the same time, She-Hulk is Universal, right? Would they be able to cross her over to Sony?

The Hulk rights fully reverted last year or 2018 I believe so Marvel should have unfettered use of any Hulk IP, even then the rights production wise I think have been with Marvel for the last decade, it's just Universal had a right of first refusal on any Hulk based movie, which is why Marvel could use Hulk, Ross and Talbot in Avengers, Thor, Civil War and Agents Of Shield, She-Hulk is tied to the Hulk's IP deal so when that reverted so did the rights to use her, hence Marvel is doing a She-Hulk series now for Disney+.
As is it now Universal I don't think holds any claim to any Marvel IP production or distribution wise, so Marvel can do as the want with the characters, as for needing to just She-Hulk in Spidey 3, I don't know where you are getting that from, Daredevil rights are freed up in less than 6 months a new Spidey film wont be out for well over a year, hell it may not even go into production this year, so the rights to use Daredevil will be back in Marvel's hands by that point either way.

If Daredevil ever gets brought into the MCU proper, would they ignore the Netflix show, and treat it as its own thing? That’s my biggest question.

The She-Hulk show wasn't the part that was concerning because it's with Marvel homebase. It was more that she'd go to another studio instead of Marvel Studios. It's like if Spider-man showed up in an X-men movie when they were still at Fox. I think that was the reason that F4 and X-men couldn't crossover (even though they kept teasing us with the idea). Fox wasn't really the main owner of the F4 rights.
What I meant is that they'd have to wait until that time to put him in the movie. What if they wanted to start on the movie in a couple weeks or in a month? They'd have to shoot around his scenes then act like they added him to the movie.

Well they were supposed to start filming in July and film through November but Covid put a pause on everything, and the movie is pushed back 7 months so I imagine the production will be also pushed back about 6 months, so that would be January or so, which maybe why the use of Daredevil in the film cropped up just now what with the delays enabling the character to join the movie.
As for the crossing production for She-Hulk it's no different than them using Iron Man or Happy in the past 2 films, any character Marvel has the rights to use they can add to the Spiderman movies because they aren't restricted by licensing deals like Fox was, they had the movie licensing rights to 2 separate IP packages, but that didn't mean they had the rights to cross over those IP's, Marvel flat out owns their IP they have no restrictions legally or contractually on how they can use them, which is part of the deal for Sony, their Spider-Man movies get the use of Marvel's other characters and the MCU world if they couldn't they wouldn't have been allowed to do the storylines of the last 2 Spidey movies.

Not really (on She-Hulk). Because Tony and Happy are Marvel Studios characters. And that's a straight line from Marvel Studios to Sony. She-Hulk (ex Universal) would have had to go Universal to Marvel Studios to Sony. That's what I was meaning. But since she is not with Universal anymore it doesn't matter.
