Has someone here ever watch this 1996 TV pilot movie?
Hopefully, it will get a blu-ray release in the future to come. This is an official alternate universe of the X-Men Cinematic Multiverse.
The roster was:
M Jubilee Mondo Refrax Buff Skin
White Queen Banshee

I read the comics. I liked them but many readers weren’t interested and their legacy in the Marvel U isn’t exactly overwhelming. I’d like to see the original roster in the MCU.

Hadn't even heard of it. Looking up the movie, the poster alone couldn't be more 1996 unless you were renting it from a Blockbuster.

I watched it when it premiered and remember being really excited for it. I think it was on between 90210 and X-Files.
This was around the time of the 90s animated series when the X-Men were at the height of their popularity and at the time, was the closest we had ever gotten to seeing a live action film.
It was painfully cheesy and made for cheap with a lame plot and a scene chewing villain, but it was pretty cool seeing the likes of Banshee, White Queen and Jubilee.

I actually do vaguely remember watching it. I don't remember a single thing about it but I do know that I watched it.
I do remember the Justice League TV pilot more though which must have come out around the same time.

What's funny is that this cheap little TV movie did a better job at adapting Emma Frost, Jubilee and Banshee than the films ever did.

Uh, pretty sure both First Class and Generation X are feature length movies. Banshee and Emma Frost were in both films. It's just a matter of utilizing that screentime to develop characters instead of just using them as plot devices or power displays. In First Class, they didn't even bother giving Banshee his Scottish accent, something the Generation X film was thoughtful enough to include even though it was a small insignificant detail and he was a minor character in both films. It's the little things that add up and count to the fans and shows that they respect the source material.

Banshee... well, I think Banshee on movies can't be prominent. I mean, the character works on comic book in a fine way, but his cinematic rendition is gonna be a bit lame on screen, no matter what. That's my opinion.
