I got the idea for this thread from the discussion going on in the 'antinatalism' thread.
I know it is a large topic and I am intentionally not defining 'happiness' so will leave it to you guys to put your own perspective on that.
It is also perhaps a strangely neglected topic, seeing that when people are asked what they want for themselves or their friends and family....is
'happiness'.
I have decided not to answer it myself until I have a few answers to relate with, though the motivation for posting this thread was a discussion of whether having children
makes you happy'.

Well, on the first topic, my good friend has declared that "Kittens are my Bliss", based on the number of abandoned little ones I bottle feed until they are old enough to be adopted through the local veterinary clinic. Time in nature, recording it artistically in paint or fabric, that makes me happy. On the second topic, as you probably remember, I chose not to have children because it would stop the cycle of family dysfunction. Three of my cousins, children of my mother's siblings, chose to commit suicide, two were brother and sister. I'd say I made the right decision. It's much easier to nurture little kittens who were taken from their mom, and know that ultimately, they have gone to good homes when adopted. Children... I'm afraid I would have messed that up.

Lovely answer and the kittens are lucky to have you for their 'Mom'. As you know, I too am an animal 'freak' and some of my happiest moments have been with my pets over the years.

Honestly, ALL animals are my bliss!

The person I love gives me happiness sometimes. I was happy when I was performing shows with my punk band. I get a little happiness reminiscing about those shows and listening back to our music. I've been reading and learning a lot about Witchcraft the last few months. That has brought me some joy.

Peace, good food, music, solving problems, especially teaching machines to help solve problems.

Since you gave me a half-way decent response earlier I'll do likewise here and split in to two groups for you.
My wife and I having coffee early in the morning talking about the day ahead
In this life- I have had three dogs... my childhood Golden Retriever named Jingo. He was trained to be a seeing eye dog and he was like my guardian when I was a toddler and my best friend from there on. He passed when i was about ten. As an adult I had a half Great Pyrenees half Golden Retriever named Erin and she was amazing... huge and loving and loyal. Being a big dog she didn't live nearly as long as we would ave liked but we miss her each day. Up unit recently we had another Golden and her name was Josie. She was the very best and I cried more at the end than I do with most people. As I write this I feel like crying... So why would I write this as a happiness things then? They are all the source of some of the the best memories.
Okay- food- a charred medium rare rib eye steak with Rice- sauteed mushrooms, asparagus and cheese cake
Mexican mochas
Phone calls with old friends
Visiting the family cemetery
Very early mornings on the Pistol River beach on the Southern Oregon coast
Long drives or hikes or bicycle rides through the country
Seeing classic aging rock and country stars perform
Classic Trucks
My grandson
Good naps
Target shooting
Boating
Worship services
Communion services
Baptisms
Bible studies
Seeing people get saved
Seeing hurting people prayed over
Cool breeze with warm sun

A goz-free board would be a step in the right direction.

Friends, family, music, movies, video games, literature, exercise, cannabis, sex, porn
Sometimes combining these things can be fun too, like cannabis+exercise+music... but not family+sex, unless it's in porn... and someone else's family...
