Unless you're a Bears or Rams fan you probably feel pretty optimistic about your team after the draft. I'm pretty satisfied with the Eagles draft with one exception. 2nd round pick CB Sidney Jones is rehabbing a torn Achilles, probably won't be ready by opening day and who knows if he'll be the same after. The Sixers have put me off the whole drafting of an injured player in the hopes that he'll be something special after. I'm tired of trusting the process and I just want the fucking process finished. Otherwise things are great here in Philly.

Very well, especially the first two days. New Colts GM Chris Ballard clearly has a vision and placing a stronger emphasis on defense is a big part of that. Malik Hooker is a good first selection in an area of need. To be honest, all the defensive positions are positions of need, and the defensive selections kept coming. The Colts have done a great job improving their defensive depth this offseason even before the draft. They also picked up a hopeful successor to Frank Gore late on.

I'm satisfied with the Saints draft. Marshon Lattimore (predicted by all to go in the first 6-7 picks) fell to the Saints at 11. We then managed to get perhaps the best free safety in Marcus Williams, as well as perhaps the best RT in Ryan Ramczyk. All in all a pretty productive draft.

I know they need secondary help and in all likelihood he may not see the field until October - but I think they're thinking long term here. I miss the days of Bobby Taylor, Brian Dawkins, Eric Allen, etc - an elite secondary. Looks like they're trying to build a dominant line too. I love the Barnett pick. Cox under performed last year - but he was getting double and triple teamed and chipped a lot. Hoping with the addition of Barnett on the outside it frees up Cox more to wreak havoc in the middle. Intrigued by the Donnel Pumphrey pick. Is he the new Sproles? ESPN has this ridiculous stat on his rushing and receiving #s. All time leading rusher in FBS history and sounds like he can catch out of the backfield ala Sproles, Westbrook, Garner, etc. Can't wait for training camp to start.

Vikings
1st pick RB Dalvin Cook: I am excited. They are saying he could be the next Warrick Dunn. He gives the Vikings a good 3 prong attack and may become the every down back. The question is can the slightly improved line block for him.
2nd pick C Pat Elflein: Versatile. can play center and both guard positions. Hope he pans out.
3rd Pick DT Jaleel Johnson: As an Iowa fan I have watched him for 4 years now. Will be a rotational player at first and give the Vikings a good inside pass rush.
I like it.

I can take it. Seen worse. Bills get Steph Gilmore's replacement in Tra'Davious White, a WR to go with Sammy "Ow" Watkins in Zay "The Zay Hey Kid" Jones. They traded down when the big WR's were taken and picked up a 1st in '18. And they didn't reach for a QB. Nate Peterman (hee hee, "Peterman") could be a nice project.

I am pretty sure the Cardinals were planning to draft Pat Mahomes II ( with Deshaun Watson as a back up choice ) Oh well.

Very pleased and so are the Eagle fans I talked to.
BUT!!! If you listen to sports radio or read the comments out'a Philly, you'd think we gave away are first few picks for a pretzel vendor.

Overall, I'm satisfied because despite picking so low the Cowboys were able to draft some good players and fill many of their needs. The Cowboys should be a favorite to win Super Bowl LII.

The Lions did okay, I guess. I wanted them to draft a defensive end in the first round, instead they drafted linebacker Jarrad Davis. Linebacker was the biggest need for the Lions, but there was better LB talent further down in the draft than there was DE talent, in my opinion.
The Teez Tabor pick I'm fine with. Lots of people are knocking his speed but he seems fine on tape. I trust the tape over combine numbers any day.
Kenny Golladay is a receiver I was hoping the Lions would draft, same thing with linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and tight end Michael Roberts. Roberts will be a good blocker and red zone target.
I'm not impressed by any of their picks after that. Jamal Agnew seems too small and not that great in coverage, although he has good speed. Jeremiah Ledbetter seems to be a "tweener" defensive lineman, who I think will be too slow to play defensive end and too small to play defensive tackle. Brad Kaaya is a noodle-arm QB who will never be more than a backup in the NFL; this is their worst pick of the draft, I think. Pat O'Connor seems to have good size and decent production for the DE position, but he is a 7th round selection out of Eastern Michigan.

How about they concentrate on just winning a playoff game first.

I would have been happier with Cook, but if you tell me Jones will come back 100% then I am elated with the pick. he could have been the top CB in the draft if not for the injury.

I don't pay any attention to college sports, really, so I don't know the players in the draft. I also tend to be very skeptical of draft acquisitions, since at least as often as not, they don't amount to much for the team that picked them. At any rate, according to SI, at least, the Dolphins got a B+, B and B- for the draft picks SI bothered to grade.

That's my problem especially went it comes to college hoops...can't stand that product. For me it's largely that I just don't have time for it. As it is, I have a game to watch almost every single day of the year on average--at least 162 baseball (Marlins) games + 82 basketball (Heat) games + 82 hockey (Panthers) games + 16 football (Dolphins) games = 342, and then I'm going to at least watch the final series in each sport no matter who is playing--so that's up to 22 more games + if my teams are in the playoffs I'll watch all of those games. I don't want to add anything else.
