The whole thing was a death scene, the death of any kind of intelligent story.

Crashing the Prometheus into the alien ship. The Captain telling his guys to get out, and both of them making an excuse to stay with him. Very cool moment, and one of the few that wasn't overplayed. Also the explosion FX were amazing.
