Let's go waaaaaaaaaaaaay back: Louise Brooks For some (slightly more) recents: Rita Hayworth: Lauren Bacall: And a bonus Bacall with probably my favorite erotic/double entendre line in classic cinema:

It was how she carried herself, the attitude she brought to every role. Although looks wise she was gorgeous. Tall, willowy, chiseled features, sultry voice...but she always maintained that sex appeal even into old age because it was a mind thing.

Let's go waaaaaaaaaaaaay back: Louise Brooks Pandora's Box may legit be the most erotic film ever made for the mainstream before the ending of the Hays Code, and Brooks just emanated sex and danger in that film... probably the best representation of how wild the 20s actually were.

Nothing more sexy than a confident woman who owns her sexuality and doesn't allow herself to be overshadowed by her leading men.

She still had it.

Yes, Brooks is a stunningly beautiful woman and she doesn't look dated. It's hard to believe she was born at the turn of the century and is long dead. She was also extremely influential fashion-wize. Guide Crepax based his Valentina character on her look. So did Anna Karina in My Life to Live:
