Oh if only they had the money, they could hire the right people to work on it! TEXT: According to "insider information" received over at Heroic Hollywood, Warner Bros. is not confident there is sufficient interest in a solo adventure for Cavill's Superman at this time and instead hopes to build up the character by having him play a supporting role for the foreseeable future. The full insider quote reads: "...A stand-alone Superman movie would not be successful at this time. Perhaps once there's more momentum after playing a supporting role in some successful DC films, there would be more of a chance for a stand-alone film" screenrant.com/henry-cavill-no-new-superman-movie-wb-why/

Or is that because of them not wanting to tarnish the Snyder Cut before it comes out?

No interest in Superman? MOS grossed over $600m, there is interest there, just means be fucking smart and don't spend $250m on production, $150m production would net significant profit off a $600m box office so just do that, it aint that bleeding hard to figure out.
Also not like you can point to BVS or JL as proof because guess what they fucking had Wonder Woman and Batman in both which was highly promoted throughout the productions but WB is still confident in their solo films.
And how is making Superman a supporting role in a couple of films over the next few years going to make him a solo draw? he aint getting anymore established by showcasing him in those movies for fuck sake, he's at worst a top 5 most recognisable superhero of all time more like top 3 in most cases, just make a fucking Superman movie already.

Pretty sure he’s still the most recognizable superhero, by virtue of his name and his symbol alone.

Well maybe if they stopped making Donner films with Luthor and Zod as the villains over and over and stopped trying to turn Superman dark and gritty as an extreme measure to compete with Marvel they might have a chance.
But if they want him as a supporting character only they should start by making a Trinity movie.

He's without a doubt what I first think of when I think superheroes but you know some people say Batman, and Spidey is the most popular superhero in the world so I said top 3 to be safe, but yeah he's #1 in my book, that's why I want another Superman movie.

But I guess that is not happening due to the Reeves Batman being in his own timeline.

They (WB) really are clueless. Smh. There is still plenty of interest in Superman, just get a good writer with a good story idea and stop doing the same thing over and over.

Sure WB, whatever. I mean you greenlit a Suicide Squad 2 despite the first movie being far less well received than MOS.

Give Superman to Marvel and let DC have Squirrel Girl or something.

Out of the 3 movies, the one that made the least is the one where Superman was in it the least and they screwed with his face when Superman fans knew they had a way out (full beard). Just saying.

But Squirrel Girl is an A tier character. Really? I've only heard her name. Was kind of a joke. But at the same time, she defeats villains that should be way stronger than her. Maybe as a joke because of the character, but it's still canon in the comics that she did it.

They couldn’t do a full beard because it would’ve created a continuity error with the scenes that weren’t reshoots.

You can even add in a few lines that he was aware of everything (similar to how he’s shown listening in space). He wasn’t really dead. That they only jumpstarted him.

Again, the problem is that he didn’t have a beard when they initially filmed the movie. If they were going to give him a beard in reshoots, then they wouldn’t be able to use any of the footage of him that they shot before reshoots took place. Every single one of his scenes in the movie would’ve had to be from the reshoots.
