Csn they reduce the regular season and playoffs to 0 games? Hey! That joke is about as popular around here as a conga line during a pandemic.

Good news - the preseason is useless and serves only to get players hurt. I never watch preseason games, I wish they would bring it down to 2 games.

that is the worst conga line I've ever seen. I remember when the preseason was six games and the regular season was 14. my favorite thing about it is they won't be giving us the scores as if they matter. Now if they could cut down all the other pre-seasons that would be great too.

But your team isn't playing in the Hall of Fame game. I wonder if the Cowboys and Steelers have to play three preseason games?
I hope teams don't play one of the two preseason games as if it were the 4th preseason game - - that's the one that's useless.

i.e. - like who on the bubble can make an impression to make the 53 man cut.
Roster Cutdown Day is one of my favorite days as a sports fan - you may find one of your favorite veterans axed in a cost cutting move - and it's also a time to scour all of the other teams cuts to see who may be able to plug a hole on your team in an area where you're desperate for help.
One may argue - well if he's getting cut and not good enough to be on another team - then why the hell would you want him? I'd argue one of your positions of need may be so putrid or decimated by injuries - any warm new body is possibly an upgrade that could help the team.

No arguments to any of that. Usually the game is the most boring, but it is a pretty important one.

Do you like the episodes of Hard Knocks where they talk about the coach who brings the bad news that players are being cut? "Hey son. Coach ****** needs to talk to you in his office. BRING YOUR PLAYBOOK!!!!!!!!" The players always avoid that coach. Some even hide if they are worried about getting cut. Then you get the scene of some poor guy having his long time dream implode while millions of people watch and even rewatch for years. They usually get the it's not all bad speech. "Hey son. We loved your hustle. You showed us you have heart. You should talk to some other teams and if we weren't stacked at your position who knows? Did you bring your playbook and room card? Make sure to give those to Coach Bad News. It's okay son. No shame in crying."
