England has not reached any final of Euro Cup, isn't it? I think they are more talented than that. It seems they have same problems in football as South Africa has in cricket. |

Yes, never made it past the semis in the Euros. I actually don’t agree that they’re talented enough to have deserved to have done so! |

They were the second best team in Euro 96 but played the best team in the Semi Final. And c'mon Carl, the Poland and Greece teams that won it were in no one wsy superior to some of the unsuccessful teams England have put out there. You'd think they would have at least dumb lucked their way into a final in there somewhere!

Yeah theres really only one game that stands out. What the fuck was up with the Germans that night? Theyve still won more World Cups since then too.

I think there where to reasons, Germany was in the middle of a generation change on the national team and the English players played pretty much perfect game. The German national team between 2000 and 2005 where not very good, And yes i know they did reach the world cup final in 2002, but the German national team was not very strong in that period. I mean in Euro 2000 and 2004 they got knocked out in the group stage. It was actually a pretty weak German team compared to other generation of German teams that reach the final of the 2002 world cup. |
