This is really nuts. My main grocery store is pretty large yet they're out. Totally out of toilet paper and have been for the last two weeks. I've had to order online (which is crazy) or I periodically stop into the local pharmacy and hope they have a package. I stocked up for a little while, but I have this thing about not waiting until the last minute. I have a 50% rule, same goes with food and gas.
But c'mon people. We're reopening and going back to work, do we really still need to hoard toilet paper?

Maybe people where Catman lives are a tad bit more sane, but toilet paper has not been in short supply for quite some time.
On the other hand, both ramen and graham crackers cannot be found.

I never ran out, although I ran low. A coworker got caught without any when the shortage began, so he went to McDonald's and got napkins.

Oh yeah, the ramen. Yikes! Haven't been able to find ramen noodles for ages. I would buy them just for the instant noodles and not use the taste packets (ie: random hazard chemicals and super high sodium). Not sure when those will be in stock again either.

I bought a nine roll pack of economy toilet paper just in case and it’s still waiting to be opened.

But I did notice paper towels were limited to 1 package and not fully stocked. Weird how we have different shortages

In my city, it's been back in stock for a few weeks already, but I don't know if there are any limits to how many packages a person can buy. Have you tried Walmart? I remember seeing whole display pallet full of toilet paper one day recently. The one thing I cannot find ANYWHERE is rubbing alcohol. People are really going overboard with their paranoia.

I was down to my last drops of rubbing alcohol before I found one bottle of 70% on a shelf. Hopefully there'll be another before it runs out.

I have two travel size spritz bottles that I carry with me, so I can spray touch screens (like the atm) or a package that I'm picking up, or if it's wrapped in plastic bags, or mail. I keep one bottle in the car, and one in my vest (along with hand sanitizer). I have to give myself monthly injections for migraines, so I can't afford to be without alcohol. I still have TP in stock, as well as paper towel, but like I said, my 50% rule, I always like to be prepared. I don't hoard, but I don't wait until I run out. Last time I picked up a single roll of TP there was indeed a limit...…………...one roll!

You could try that, but there might be delays in delivery, what with the world in the sorry shape that it is.

Try to remain calm. Take a look around your surroundings. Do you see 3 sea shells ?

In my area it was hard to find a while ago (luckily I had a good amount prior to when the shortage started, probably at least a month-ish supply) but it's getting easier to find I would say roughly over the last handful of weeks or something along those lines. still, the shelves ain't pretty full like they used to be prior to COVID-19 as the shelves are still largely missing toilet paper but at least you can now find the decent brand stuff as none of that bottom-of-the-barrel junk.
but I am like the OP as I don't wait til the last second to buy stuff (I don't like pushing things to the edge in general as I like to have a fair supply of certain items so if you slack a little you ain't got to worry about it running out vs those people who push it to the last second and get burned) and I like to have a fair amount of backup but I am not going to hoard WAY over what one needs in general as I figure with toilet paper for example... if one has a good 1-2 months supply (maybe even 3 months or so), they definitely don't need to hoard a boatload of it and are better off letting others who need it soon end up getting it. but I noticed not all that long ago (maybe a month ago or so now) general refills on hand soap were fairly hard to find so when I was there at that time, instead of just getting one of those bigger refills like I would usually do, since it was harder to find I grabbed the two left on the shelf. someone even happened to be in that area when I was there and I offered one of the two I had to them but she declined so I just kept it. so ill be covered on hand soap for a while and I don't need to actively look for it for probably a good month or two from now.

I have literally several dozen packs of toilet paper stores in my attic. Much of it luxury soft. My Dad did the whole hoarding thing back in March. And he's still doing it.
