Ohioan Alexa Bliss, 5-time WWE Women's Champion, said several years ago that Deonna Purrazzo has the drive and the skill-set needed to take her all the way to the top.
Ohioan Madison Rayne, 5-Time TNA Knockouts Champion, says New Jersey's Deonna Purrazzo can be the difference-maker and that she already looks right at home taking down Champion Jordynne Grace, the human wrecking ball from Austin, Texas.

With decorated Ohioan and former WSU Spirit Champion Neveah also coming on board, the Knockouts division just got a whole lot meaner.

As soon as I seen this thread, I automatically thought back to when Alexa humiliated her on Smackdown back in 2016 and long behold, you did too, lol.

One of the all-time great moments of Bliss lol. It's easy to forget how mean she was back then.

^ She was one nasty little brat when she wanted to be, especially the first couple years of her heel run from NXT through Smackdown.

Yes, brat is a good word for her obnoxious behaviour, but it seemed to fuel her performance in the ring. When she needed to be, she was Intense with a capital I.

^ I agree. Alexa gets flack for not being a so-called "pure" wrestler, but personally I always thought she was entertaining in and out of the ring. She knows how to bring her character to her matches, and she's quite the dirty little fighter, especially as a heel. Her nickname "5ft of Fury" is an accurate way to describe her as a wrestler.

I think it's also worth remembering they restrict wrestler's skill-sets in WWE, we can all see this when we watch wrestlers in smaller promotions. They like the signature moves in WWE to dominate, so Alexa Bliss had too many matches where she did the same five or six moves.
This makes me excited for Deonna Purrazzo as she has a platform now to show what she's really made of and she's still young in wrestling years. I have to be honest, I'd like to see Alexa Bliss in TNT one day, with all she's achieved, she could always return to WWE at a later date.

^ If Alexa did go to TNA, then she'd likely have another match with Deonna Purrazzo, only this time with more meaning, since Deonna seems to be making herself at home in TNA so far.

Seemingly by coincidence, there's also a strong Ohio contingent currently at Impact, as wrestling in Ohio (and North Carolina) is experiencing a purple patch. Commentator and TNA Knockouts legend Madison Rayne is from Alexa Bliss' hometown, Columbus, and would be sure to help her adjust to a new climate. Former WWE Superstar Emma (Tenille Dashwood) is also performing well on the roster and I was outspoken when WWE cut her that I felt it was a big mistake (they saddled her with that Canadian dingbat Santino Marella).
I have a thread going here for Rayne's protege, Kiera Hogan, the "girl on fire", from Atlanta, Georgia. If you see her indie fights (including against Deonna Purrazzo) posted online, she has all the tools to make an impression, and she's funny and charismatic too. Also, a bit of a brat, like Bliss.

Deonna Purrazzo has retained her title in a tense, 30-minute limit, 'Iron Man' encounter with stricken adversary Jordynne Grace. The endurance specialist methodically wore down Grace with her patient approach to strategic wrestling, launching sudden, systematic attacks on her opponent's damaged left arm and shoulder. She had a bit of luck along the way, but every champion needs a bit of luck from time to time.
This will be viewed as a huge victory as it should see Grace recuperating in the locker room as Kylie Ray steps up to become number one contender. Purrazzo can wrestle for an hour at the highest level, such is her strength, fitness and improved conditioning, and she's getting stronger as she adds weight to her muscular frame. She'll be hard to beat, for anybody.
Madison Rayne said the buzz around this latest encounter was off the chart, sports journalists regularly calling in during the pre-match build-up, to see if there was any information they could glean from the wrestling co-commentator.

Since I last posted on this thread, Deonna Purrazzo has lost her championship belt to the demonic Su Yung ... only to win it back. She is now a 2-Time TNA Knockouts Champion which puts her in rarefied company.
Needless to say, power-crazed Canadian loverman Scott D'Amore is back kissing Purrazzo's backside now that Impact! fans have voted her the top wrestler of 2020.
Hey, D'Amore, you should know the sky's the limit when you're talking about the best technical wrestler in the business. Now bow down and pucker up for the Jersey Girls (... not just Deonna Purrazzo, but Liv Morgan, Tasha Steelz, AJ Lee and the new wave ...)
... Merry Christmas everybody!!
The era of Deonna Purrazzo is upon us ...

In 2021, Deonna Purrazzo was ranked at number 3 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's list of the greatest women wrestlers. She ignited a rivalry with one of the greatest wrestlers of the modern era, Mickie James, which saw James defeat Purrazzo to claim her 4th TNA Knockouts (Impact!) title. 2-time champion Purrazzo has vowed to regain the title from James.
However, things have been going exceptionally well for the Virtuosa outside of her loss to James. She's still the current AAA Reina De Reinas Champion having defeated Faby Apache to earn the title in the summer of 2021.
Purrazzo's also the reigning Women's World Champion in Ring Of Honor where she defeated another distinguished champion, Rok-C, in order to claim the belt. The promotion has been on hiatus during the pandemic and is scheduled to make its official return with the Supercard of Honor XV showpiece event on April Fool's Day, 2022. Wrestling fans are said to be keen to see Purrazzo defend her title.
