I liked it. Might be a little slow for some in the first half, but I didn't mind. The 2nd half was worth the wait.

It was a good film but becomes really interesting when seen in conjunction with the film which inspired it - Alan Clarke's Elephant. Different films but you can see how one became the other, it's almost as if the two films were having a conversation.

2/10 Nothing really happens for most of it. Its a lot of walking. It felt like a practical joke.

I enjoyed it, as I did all the films in Van Sant's "Death" trilogy (Gerry and Last Days are the other two). The long takes and everyday banality, slowly building to the inevitable conclusion. I like how matter-of-fact-ly it was handled.
