I never understood that. Ever since the movement to release the Snyder Cut began, there were a bunch of online detractors who accused the movement’s supporters of being toxic alt-right man babies who were trying to harass a poor little multi-billion dollar company. I didn’t even care for the movement until about some time last year, but even then, I never got why people like MovieBob were so against it, or why people seemed to ignore the fact that the movement actually helped raise money for suicide prevention.

I'm not a Snyder fan. BvS was an abomination. Justice League wasn't much better. Man of Steel is just okay. He is literally the reason DC's cinematic universe is such a shit show.

Because like toxic alt-right man babies, a significant number of them were sending death threats. No one likes assholes, or rewarding them for being assholes. The pro-murder and objectivist philosophy of Snyder on full-display in his movies probably didn't help his fanbase's political look.

Also, what about the ones who raised money for suicide prevention?

And knowing DCEU/Snyder fans, it was probably a LOT more. As with most things, the bad apples drown out the good ones.

Sure, anyone who makes death threats is an idiot, but those people are usually anonymous Internet randos. There’s no reason why they should be seen as defining an entire movement that comprises a surprisingly diverse group of people. Besides, WB’s decision to move forward with the Snyder Cut wasn’t made because they were scared of some anonymous death threats, it was made because they desperately need content for their streaming service.

I think there's still a lot of enmity towards Zack Snyder over his handling of I guess we'll call it Phase One of the DCEU. Just pop on over to Knowhere.

Some more than others. These are a lot of the same people who thought Disney was paying off critics to give the DCEU bad reviews, so not a stable bunch.

Probably because he's not that good of a director to begin with.

I am in support of fans getting what they want.
I think it’s wonderful.

Is it the redux of the last Batman/Wonder Woman movie? I didn’t see the first movie. Brother, you missed out on a lot of arguments.

I don't get it either. Apparently there's some fear that it could lead to the audience having control with how films are released or whatever.

Not sure if you realize this, but it’s a little difficult to tell when someone is being “disdainfully humorous” through a message board post.
