Oh, yeah. Oooh, ahhh, that’s how it always starts. Then later there’s running and screaming.”

I wouldn't say it might not be possible at some point in the future, but I think it's a fair ways off from 'just around the corner'.

DNA has a Half Life of 521 years.
Dinosaurs went extinct 65 000 000 years ago.
Jurassic Park? Not very likely...

Bring back the green eating ones who are not violent, avoid bringing back the meat eating ones that can do serious property damage.

DNA has a Half Life of 521 years. Dinosaurs went extinct 65 000 000 years ago. Jurassic Park? Not very likely... I thought “half life” was something that applied exclusively to radioactive material, which DNA is not. What do you mean by “DNA has a Half Life of 521 years”?

I thought “half life” was something that applied exclusively to radioactive material, which DNA is not. What do you mean by “DNA has a Half Life of 521 years”? It means that if you have, for example, a 100 DNA strands that after 521 years you’ll only have 50 complete strands left. It’s the same principle with radioactive decay: If you have 100 gr radioactive material with a half life of 500 years then after 500 years only 50 gr will still be radioactive.

This article discusses some actual finds of insects and a mosquito, specifically.
Too bad for dinofans.

Great nod to a line from the the first movie: Perhaps now is the time to stop being so preoccupied with whether or not they could, and stop and think about whether or not they should.

Bring the dodo back first and then worry about the dinosaurs.

Bring the dodo back first and then worry about the dinosaurs. Bringing back the woolly mammoth would also be easier than dinosaurs.

Little Jack Horner Sat in the corner, Musing on DNA: "Within five short years, Raptors shall be here. Let's hope that they don't go astray!"

Sure...bring back some species with no known predators and release 'em in some habitat...what could go wrong?

I can’t wait. I hope they clone a cute one. If they do somehow bring them back they should only have them small and cute like this one. Why would anyone want to return the bigger dinosaurs that can kill us? It’s just like what happens in the Jurassic park movies.
