Bought this yesterday.... The original recording of that song was by Junior Wells. It's credited to Mel London but it was London and Wells. Junior Wells worked a hell of a lot with Buddy Guy back in those days and they have a version but this first one has the great Earl Hooker (cousin of John Lee Hooker) on guitar.

Uhh, five minutes is about four minutes too long to get that song. It is the basic I-IV-V chord progression. Five year olds do that instinctively when they hum their own little tunes.
I listened to that "Messin' With The Kid" song. I was astonished by how terrible and completely unoriginal it was. Did they think the world had never heard the song "Lucille"?

Every time I read a guitar mag or watch a guitar video, this guy Rory Gallagher keeps popping up. I can not name one song by that nobody so why does he keep popping up in my guitar life? I know music. Good music. Clearly this Gallagher fellow wasn't involved in that. As bad as Ian and Liam are, they clearly are the leading Gallaghers in music. Now imagine being second to them as Rory is. That's pretty awful.
